Hi! I am an academic, mom, designer, cold water snorkeller, nordic and alpine skier, dancer, artist. I moved to Vancouver Island exactly 1 year ago (Sept. 2025) and could not be more grateful and happy...this place is absolutely amazing. I've lived all over the world teaching art and design, and teaching people to be art and design teachers, now working for a education department helping them run their teacher ed programs. I love to travel, cook, and now honestly i love my house and neighbourhood so much, and the whole island, i don't feel a need to leave!
About this stay
Airy fully furnished 2 bdrm 1st floor suite in a 2 floor home. Surrounded by forest, with Salish Sea views from the deck. connects to city forest for wonderful walks among the giant cedars. Amazingly quiet and private, yet close to downtown, airport and ferry. Queen bed and giant walk in closet in primary, double bed in 2nd bedroom, both have desks. Surrounded by forest on three sides, abutting a city forest, with east facing Salish Sea views from the deck. New mattresses and sheets (queen and double) new dishwasher and stove, Washer/Dryer in unit (separate laundry room!) Incredible strong water pressure shower. wonderfully cool in the summer and cozy in the winter, Victoria boasts the warmest winters in Canada, and the mildest weather in the summer...play golf all year round! Dedicated parking, EV charging. Quiet and peaceful neighbourhood, less than 5 min walk down the hill to the ocean and the wonderful Cordova Bay beach. Mattick's Farm shopping and Cordova Bay Golf Club, Lochside bike path (connects to Galloping goose Trail), are all just down the hill as well! Looking for a medium to long term renter, open to snow-birders, semester long academic or students, traveling nurses, professionals needing short term accommodations, those in town looking for their own piece of paradise to purchae, etc. 1 month minimum, longer preferred. House rules
Absolutely no smoking or vaping inside or out. Small pets considered, but not absolute. Quiet after 9pm.
Accessibility
There are 2 small sets of stairs leading to the suite. The dedicated parking spot is lower down a steep driveway. The suite is not suitable for people with mobility challenges.
